For the week of June 1st-June 5th- Remember to continue to hand in any previous assignments. Keep on working on the Allan Littlewood Case Study. Please, please, please contact me and ask questions about any of the work if needed. I would love to discuss things with you. The same goes for any previous assignments that you have yet to hand in. Work hard and hand things in during these last few weeks.
Monday-Friday May 25th-29th- A big thank you to those who have been handing in your completed assignments. Your work has been very insightful. Continue to hand any outstanding assignments (found at the bottom of the page) in to me. The work I posted Monday will be our final Social Studies assignment. The booklet I've attached at the bottom of the page is a Case Study of a young man's journey through the Canadian Justice System. Please work on the booklet whenever you can over the next three weeks. You can hand in the assignments as you finish them or altogether once you've completed the entire booklet. It's a "Big File", so let me know if you are having any trouble downloading it or if you have any questions about it. I love hearing from you!!
Friday May 22nd- Continue to work on the assignment from this week (Dudley and Stephens) and any other outstanding work that still needs to be handed in. Have a great weekend.
Thursday May 21st- Thanks to those who have handed in the assignment from this week (and any previous ones). Please continue to work on the "Dudley and Stephens" case that was assigned Tuesday and hand it in when completed (along with any other outstanding work). Let me know if you have any questions.
Wednesday May 20th- Continue with this week's assignment that was given yesterday. Also continue to work on any previous assignments that you have. All our listed at the bottom of the page.
Tuesday May 19th- I hope everyone had a great long weekend. We will continue this week with the Law Unit. Thank you to those who are completing and sending me the assignments listed below. For this week, I have posted an interesting and true case from the 1800's. I love teaching this lesson. This case is often taught during the first year at some Law Schools in Canada and Great Britain. It actually took place and shows the problems that occur when judges must decide between following the "letter of the law" and using their personal judgement when dealing with a case that has "extreme circumstances". PLEASE contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss this strange (and at times gruesome) case from history. You can read the case and then answer the questions on a separate sheet of paper and send it to me when done. Most of them are opinion questions. You have all week to work on it and send it to me. Please remember to hand in any previous assignments if you can. Thanks and talk soon.
Friday May 15th- Continue to work on (and hand in) the Law assignment from this week (listed below at the bottom of this page). Also, keep working on and handing in the previous assignments listed at the bottom of this page. The few I have received have been very well done. I would like to see more handed in from everyone. Have a great May Long/Victoria Day weekend. A big thanks to Queen Victoria for the day off!!!
The week of Monday May 11-15th- Good morning 9-3. I hope you had a good (but cold!) weekend. Hopefully it warms up soon. Thank you to everyone who has been completing and handing in the assignments below. Please continue to do that. A special thanks to those who finished (and handed in) the "Law Vocabulary" from last week. We are continuing with the Law Unit and this week, I have posted a textbook reading (pages 198-201) and a follow up question sheet. This is a "longer" assignment, so I don't mind giving you the entire week to work on it (and longer if you need it, just let me know). PLEASE contact me if you have any questions about anything. I love talking to the students who have contacted me with questions, or just to discuss things. As usual, this assignment is posted at the bottom of this page.
Thursday May 14th- I've received a few Law Assignments this week. Please continue to do the work and get it in to me. It is all listed below. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about any of it. I'd love to hear from you. Thanks to those who have been handing stuff in and working hard.
Tuesday May 12th- For Social Studies, continue to work on and hand in the assignments listed below. The latest "Law assignment" was posted yesterday (read the above message). This can be a "long one" so take your time (I'm giving you this whole week) and hand it in when completed. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Friday May 8th- I really appreciate all the Social Studies work some of you are sending me. Keep it up! Continue to complete the assignments listed at the bottom of this page. We have started the Law Unit, so try to get caught up if you can. There will be more work on "Law" at the beginning of next week. If you have any questions, just let me know. If you are all caught up with your work, great! If not, keep working hard and get those assignments in. Have a great weekend!
Thursday May 7th- A big thanks to everyone who has been completing the assignments below and handing them in. I only have two people who are completely up to date, so I won't assign any new work while most of you get caught up. The latest assignment is the Law Vocabulary and questions. Please keep "handing" this work into me. Enjoy your day and don't forget to contact me with ANY questions.
Wednesday May 6th- There will be no "new" assignments today. I would like to see EVERYONE get caught up on the previous assignments (found at the bottom of this page) and hand them in when finished. Let me know if you have any questions about anything.
Tuesday May 5th- As much as I would love to see more assignments from below be handed in, we do need to continue with the curriculum. Yesterday (Monday) we eased ourselves into the Law Unit. At the very bottom of this page (where all the other assignments can be found), I listed the "textbook page" I want you to read, and then I listed the Assignment. It's a short one and I will not post anything else until Wednesday, at the earliest. Use this time to complete it and also get caught up on any other assignments you have not handed in yet. If you are all caught up, great! As usual, make sure you are contacting me if you have questions or concerns about anything. I love hearing from you all!
Friday May 1st- I STILL NEED QUITE A FEW ASSIGNMENTS FROM BELOW. Only take today off from Social Studies, IF you have completed most of the assignments below. IF YOU HAVE NOT STARTED ANY, YOU NEED TO GET WORKING! Thanks to those who continue to complete and hand in the assignments listed below. Please make sure you hand in an assignment when you complete it. Do the assignments in order and let me know if you have any questions or concerns with any of them. The latest assignment is "Your Personal Immigration Story". Take your time on it and ONLY start it if you have handed in everything else first. Thank you.
The Week of April 20-24- Good morning 9-3. Thank you to those who have been sending me the completed assignments listed below. I really appreciate it.
